hi.....

thanks, Jane Valencia for getting us some "harp dreams".....but, i am
wondering why the "digest" has turned into a ISFH"C" (Craftsmen)
dialog?? since i have only a nominal interest in string gauges and
other esoteric harp building considerations, i would like to see more
"players" discussions.....

what about discussing "music" -- classical vs. celtic?? are we all
entrained by our culture?? and what is "entrainment" anyway??

how about teaching styles -- are there any folk harp teachers allowing
or encouraging (?) their students to leave the "piano tradition" and
return to harper's historical "left shoulder" positions?? why not??
is it because all harp teachers are "classical harp teachers"???

really interesting things are being discussed in the Healing Harp world
-- and i would welcome discussions around the "frequency of a 'disease'"
or "how do they know what frequency represents a 'potassium
deficiency'??"

there is always room to hear about others "learning experiences" and the
"creative process" of you performers!! i for one, don't believe in
"stage fright"....you might say that is because i am not a "performer",
but i think it is because i am not "a trained musician". recently
someone mentioned the fact that "stage fright" is the name given to the
"feelings generated when one is expected to perform beyond their
capabilities"... generally starting at "childhood recitals"...and
carried over to their professional days (when it is no longer
appropriate!)....but, could not have been learned if it were not "once
appropriate"...and that i totally agree with!

you understand, of course, i don't have the answers to these questions,
just would like to see the digest take a new direction!!
