Subject: O'Carolan Info
Hi all, I've decided to say a few words about O'Carolan and his little
known life at our program next week
and need to know a couple of things: I know there was a discussion of this
several months ago and a way to the archives would help also, I guess. But
I think it would be nice to know
1.Did he show musical interest before the blindness and harp? And was the
blindness an accident or disese? Did he really write all of those lovely
tunes? Was his family musical?
2.What was the name of his patroness?
3.What would he have done had he not gone blind?
4. How does one pronounce his first name.
Thanks in advance. and if you can think of any other tidbits that an
audience might like to know.....jane
