Jr. High Fiasco's and salvation.

I appreciated reading Jane's story. When my son asked to quit band, I did
not object. I said to him that I hoped he would consider keeping on with
music and give it a try in high school. (There was another interplay here as
well, as his Jr. High band teacher and I were the music teachers in
neighboring districts. I taught Jr. High music for 15 years!) After a week
went by, my son decided he to stay in but asked if he could get a bass
guitar for Christmas and not have to take any lessons. He just wanted to
play for the fun of it. I'm quite sure if we had not given him the
opportunity to bow out when he needed the time for pulling it together, he
may have not returned. Tina
