Starfish harps -Reply

I rented a Starfish student model (nylon with about 32 strings) for a
month last summer. The tension was medium to light - a little lighter than
my Caswell Gaelic - and as a result (?) it didn't have the rich sound my
Gaelic has. It had sharping blades instead of levers and came with a
lightweight carrying case. Mike and Gay Anderson were wonderful
people to do business with. (They call me "the comma cop" at Vermont
Law School, but I've never worried about prepositions at the ends of
sentences.) Mike met me at a bus stop in what felt like the middle of
nowhere (but was actually North Ballachulish) at 8:00 p.m. on a rainy
night and took me to a bed and breakfast Gay had recommeded. They
didn't seem at all worried that I planned to go off the next morning with
their harp on a 10 hour series of bus rides.

I've never heard comments from others on the harps themselves, but
Mike and Gay seem to make a great impression on everyone who meets
them. Cam MacRae

Dear Harp Wizards:

I am quite interested in a harp made by Starfish Designs in Scotland.

1) Has anyone on this list tried their harps?
2) Heard others comment on them?

Sincere thanks for your help.
Best regards.
