I got my first bifocals last year which is something I thought would never
happen as I'm VERY nearsighted. Turning 40 certainly has been interesting.
Anyway, it takes a couple of days for your eyes to adjust - my eye doctor
recommended that, rather than waiting till everything was a total blur,
getting bifocals early on and then it is not such a drastic adjustment.
True, they get you into more expensive lenses earlier but the transition to
bifocals is less physically traumatic (forget the emotional part!). Then
there's gray hair thing but we won't get into that just now...
