Mike Ismert

Mike has been hanging around for the last year as research staff working on the GuPPI, a general-purpose PCI-bus I/O device which is part of the hardware infrastructure for the SpectrumWare project.

Mike received his M.Eng degree from MIT in February 1995; his thesis was ATM Network Striping. He received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from MIT in 1993.

Current Research

Currently, Mike is working on the GuPPI, a general-purpose PCI-bus I/O device which is part of the hardware infrastructure for the SpectrumWare project. We plan to use this board in PCI-bus machines running Linux to implement a bunch of cool things like software radios, wireless networks, and anything else for which someone wants to make a GuPPI daughtercard.
